Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II has appointed four new ministers and two
Lukiiko members, making a cabinet of 31 ministers. The new appointments
include Mr Noah Kiyimba (State for youth), Mr Nsamba Kumama (State for
cooperatives), Mr Denis Walusimbi (State for culture) and Mr Damulira
Muguluma (State minister for Health).
The Kabaka also appointed Mr Richard Kabanda as the
youth representative and Mr Feffeka Sserubogo as the Bugerere County
representative to the Lukiiko.
“We welcome all those who have joined us to serve
as we open the 20th Lukiiko,” the Kabaka said during the official
opening of the 20th Lukiiko yesterday.
Call for unity
Kabaka Mutebi also called on the leaders to unite and fight Buganda’s key challenges, especially those affecting the common people.

He said several challenges, including the poor
education system, poor healthcare, poverty and poor social utilities,
have remained unaddressed, creating a need for collective effort.
“As the kingdom, we have struggled to change this
but the journey is still long. What encourages us is the fact that at
least leaders at different levels have started working together, uniting
and talking with one voice,” the Kabaka said, adding that it is upon

He said the kingdom has also drawn a clear developmental plan to improve its financial performance.
