Passionate hosts for Headies!

Organisers of the annual hip hop awards, or Headies as it is now called, have announced that Omawunmi Mgebele, sultry singer of Bottom Belle and MI, the face of Hennessy Artistry 2012, will be co-anchoring the event.

The choice of both artists was informed by the award's tradition of picking talented entertainers to compere a ceremony that will parade the continent’s biggest entertainers.

According to Ayo Animashaun, the brain behind the awards, this year is important. MI and Omawunmi have been found to be both passionate about their work and great sources of inspiration to young and upcoming artists.

The Hip Hop Awards, which is in its seventh edition, will take place in October at the expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suites.
